STAKEHOLDERS
Parents of children attending daycare are TMCP’s primary stakeholders.
About 25% of TMCP’s interventions consist of parent education, awareness and skill building with emphasis on promoting age-appropriate development of their child.
Special interventions are conducted for pregnant women and lactating mothers in the areas of health, nutrition and development
Members of the labour community (including parents as well as other labourers) are TMCP’s secondary stakeholders.
Awareness and sensitization about the rights of the child and their role in upholding these rights form the major interventions for this group.
Health check ups and awareness regarding issues that can be detrimental to the development of children in the community (eg. domestic violence, alcoholism, de-addiction etc.) are also included in an effort to make the labour community a safe place for children.
Site Authorities are TMCP’s extended stakeholders. They play a very important role in daycare - right from constructing the centre, regular repair and maintenance of all utilities in the centre, provision of safe drinking water, toilets, permitting time from work for lactating mothers to come to the centres and nurse their babies, facilitating attendance of community members for health camps and awareness sessions etc.
